Meta & Ho-Lateral Damage @ parking lot across the street from Panama Red's 1909 Locust

Hash Trash:

Warm days in the winter. I know I should be cleaning up my yard from the recent storm. But, there's more important things going on. A hash in downtown Saint Louis.

The parking lot across from Panama Red's is where we met. In a nicely shaded area. We had a few virgins even. We can thank the Post Dispatch and Mudpacker for that. Unfortunately they were of the wrong gender. Where are all the chicks?

Even our regular hash girls didn't show up. Luckily Bama Mate was there to help fill in for all the girls. Later Elbow Deep in a Breadbox and Help Me I'm Wet showed up.

We circled up and Meta gave us a quick chalk talk. Nothing complicated on this trail. No whichy ways, no 2 dotters, no check backs. Wait...there might be a check back? You're not fooling anyone with that nonsense Ho-Lateral. Oh, and start embracing your name...or you never know what you might get re-named.

The hares were away and we stood there in the shade drinking Budweiser Selects. Disco Ass and Rainbow Bear ( or a symbol...we'll get to that later) were looking anxious to go, so we headed out.

Trail took us all through downtown where the few brave souls that were out stared at us like we were the crazy ones. Homeless people looked down their noses at us. Or wait...was that a homeless guy? Or Butt Sucker? It's hard to tell I yelled on-on, but he didn't respond. Guess it wasn't him.

We followed a circle jerk which was really pointless, but kept most of the pack together. And as we came upon the beer stop, LOOK OUT!!!! snow balls dropping out of the sky! luckily they had poor aim. We ran up the stairs...because we stupidly missed the elevator 10 feet from us. And as we reached the top, Bama nailed Just Zack right in the frank-n-beans with an ice ball. That's ok though, cause we needed some more higher pitched voices to sing in circle.

At the beer stop we decided the best way to attract the cops was to pelt the Bowling Hall of Fame with snowballs. After several direct hits, still no attention from the cops. Oh well.

We watched as all of the hashers made it around the New Busch and up the parking garage. But...we were missing one person. Where was Just Ian? Nobody had seen him in a while. Shit.

We might have lost Just Ian, but we gained a Lizzardo! Showing up at the beer stop...great idea. I need to do that more often.

Well, since we'd lost Ian, Disco, Just Zack and I ran trail in reverse in hopes of finding him. We echoed IAN WHERE ARE YOU! Off of the city's buildings, but we didn't hear any response. Back at the circle we didn't find him and wasn't sure what car he'd been driving. Holy cow...is this a first? Lost a virgin on trail?

Well, anyway, the rest of the pack showed up and Norman Bates and Help me I'm Wet joined us. Bama RA'd for us...the first time in a long time, but she didn't miss a beat. Overachievers, Backsliders, everyone was drinking for something, and most people twice.

Rainbow Bear thought it'd be a great idea to create his own lanyard tag and call himself the hasher formerly known as Rainbow Bear. Now that's creative...but that will get you hashshit for sure.

Since it was getting cold, we swang low...the long version, which was cut short because of a forgotten verse....oh well we'll figure it out sooner or later.

All in all it was just a shitty trail.

directions:
from the east:  take the 40/64 heading west.  exit at 21st street.  this
will take you to market. turn right/east to first stop light.  (maggie
o'brians will be on your right).  take left.  go thru 3 lights  (the third
is olive with an imo's on nw corner) continue thru to 4th light which is
locust.  turn right.  panama reds will be immediately on left.  go to
parking lot across the street on your right.

from the west:  take 40/ 64 heading east.  take the 20th street exit (exit
just after jefferson). take left on 20th street. go thru 2 stop lights
(imo's is on nw corner at olive and 20th)  continue thru to 3rd stop light
which is locust.  take a right.  panama reds will be on your left and
parking lot on right.  stop there and get out of your car and start drinking
beer.
