Some important things to note about GDR weekend:

Bring your drinking vessels – we’re providing mugs for GDR virgins only.

Here’s a handy link to a map for the weekend events (including the hotel, the Friday night Social, the Saturday on-after, several Metrolink stops, the start of the race, the parade viewing area and local monuments):  Map

The hotel is a short walk from the 8^th Street Metrolink stop.  You can catch the Metrolink from the airport.  If you’re arriving to Union Station via train, you can ride the Metro, walk 12 blocks, or call Madam Yuk at 636-288-2099 and she’ll be glad to pick you up.

Also, please note that the on-after Saturday is at Cliff Bangher’s new place of employment.  Please just be respectful, we’d hate to get Cliffy fired before his second full week of employment.

Oh yeah, if any of the harriettes are feeling especially dirty, bring your favorite soap, scrubby and shower toy to the Saturday on-after.  For the harriers, be sure to bring your folded $1.00 bills.

In order to get the event shirt, we must have your registration no later than Sunday March 10th.

We got lucky and you will too.  $69.69 buys you a weekend of drinking, parades, hashing, socials, hospitality room beer, late night debauchery, stripper poles, giveaways and more.

This year the hotel, the Friday night social and the Saturday On-After will all be downtown very near the 8th Street MetroLink stop.  Very convenient for flyers or Megabus riders.  

Friday March 14th:

Hashpitality Room open - Kegs tapped 4 pm
Social - Mo Bar & Grill - pizza and beer provided
After - Hashpitality party back at the hotel

Saturday March 15th:

Those that wish to watch the Downtown parade will meet, nab a couple of coolers and walk down to the parade
For those that wish to run in the 5 Mile run St. Pat's Parade Run, we have about 25 free regos first come first serve
Meet at 1:30 and pack away at 2:00 at the Hash Hotel with your Green Dress on on
Pack away at 2:30
On-After 6 to 11 pm~ Includes food, beer, games, skits, music, karaoke, debauchery and more

UPDATE!!! The Hash Hotel had the wrong information originally and may have told some hashers wrong about room availability.  We still have 28 rooms in our block available at the $99 rate until the 22nd.  Half of them are double bed rooms and half are singles.  This is as of 2/14 5:00 pm.  If you called earlier today and made a reservation at a different rate than $99, you can call back and change it.  Ask for Stacey at extension 102.

To make reservations at the Hash Hotel,
call Holiday Inn Select Convention Center direct at 314-421-4000 and
ask for the "Big Hump Hash House" rate of $99 per night, single - quad occupancy. 
Rate and availability is guaranteed until February 22. 
If driving in, parking in the C-9 garage across the street with all day in-out access is $8 per day.

If you're coming in by Mega Bus or Airport, you can get to the hotel from the 8th Street Stop from Metro Link.
It would probably be faster to Cab over or call a local hasher for a ride if you're coming in from Megabus. Walking isn't that far either.

SATURDAY RACE INFO!!!

For those racist-like wankers, GDR hashers can also participate in the
2008 St. Patrick's Day Parade Run on Saturday, March 15, at 9:00 AM.
One of the largest events of its kind in the St. Louis area, with over 7,000 participants,
the 5 mile Run travels the streets of Downtown and Midtown St. Louis.

Near the finish line, participants may enjoy the post-race hospitality area,
WHICH INCLUDES BEER, prior to the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. 
The starting point of the run is only 5 blocks from the GDR hash hotel. 
The first 25 wankers to request by March 7 will get a comped registration
for the run in the non-competitive category. 

If you want to be in the competitive category...well, you should just drink
more beer and pay the entry fee.  YOU MUST BE REGISTERED AND PAID FOR GDR to

We'll do Skits Saturday at the on-after.  Pease, be sure to let us know if you plan to do a skit so that we can allot enough time to accommodate everyone.
